Man United Looking to Bag Monaco Midfielder
Manchester United are in talks with AS Monaco for the transfer of Youssouf Fofana.
The 25-year-old French midfielder is in the final year of his contract with the Ligue 1 club. Last season, he scored four goals and made as many assists across 32 appearances.
The negotiations for Fofana come as United address their tight purse strings, which have been exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic, while balancing the need to beef up their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
The English club is also dealing with the potential departure of Scott McTominay, with Fulham having had two bids for him rejected, the latest worth £20 million.
Additionally, Paris Saint-Germain have initiated talks with Manchester United regarding a potential transfer for forward Jadon Sancho – with a valuation of £40 million – who has rejoined the team once again after making peace with coach Erik ten Hag.
While Man U evaluates the feasibility of acquiring Fofana, many fans are expecting a final decision to be announced before the weekend.
